Stephen L. Snook is a specialist in international development who has spent over 25 years living and working in Africa. In addition to Gabon, where he served as a Peace Corps volunteer, he has worked in (or visited) Botswana, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire), Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Steve has a doctorate in political science from the University of Florida. He is married, the father of three daughters, and currently lives in Vermont. One Degree South is his first novel.
