Nancy Palker has retired from nursing and lives in Maryland with her husband and nearby family. Her career spanned more than forty-five years in health care as an aide, registered nurse and nurse practitioner in gerontology, working with several ethnic groups. She organized nursing groups and successfully worked for changes in health care legislation and regulation in several states. She has presented her research at national and local events, has taught health topics to professional and senior groups, and has accompanied a musical group of 200 teenagers through Europe as their nurse. She continues to advocate for improvements in Rosebud’s health care system.
