GL Smit
author of Reluctantly Exposed
Gloria Smit says, “The truth with a twist is funnier than fiction.” That’s her writing philosophy. Aspiring to be a humorist, Gloria began crafting mostly true five-minute vignettes for open-mic sessions at the Rural American Writer’s Center in Plainview, Minnesota. She spins experiences from her life on a Mississippi River bluff as a farmer, a wife, a mother, and a nurse into tales intended to make people laugh. She has also, over the past twenty years, composed more serious work, including novelettes, essays and poems. Gloria lives with her husband, Jim, a dog, two cats and a handful of Icelandic sheep near Nelson, Wisconsin.
