Submission Guidelines

Please select the correct imprint for your submission and look over specific guidelines for each imprint at the Submittable portal-

Rocket Science Press for fiction, literary as well as genre novels and short story collections.

Lost Lake Folk Art for memoirs, family stories, bio, essays as well as any other non-fiction.
Up On Big Rock Poetry Series for high quality poetry – no chapbooks, only full-length collections.
Lost Lake Folk Opera literary magazine published twice annually – summer & winter.
 

Prior to submitting book length manuscripts, authors must first submit a proper query letter, short bio, project synopsis and writing sample – 10 pp for prose, 10 poems.

To submit to Folk Opera magazine, please include short bio with manuscript – short fiction (1000-6000 wds); one-act and other short plays or scenes (1000-6000 wds); essays and opinion (500-300 wds); poetry (no more than 10 poems or 10 pages).

We acquire First North American Serial Rights upon acceptance and retain exclusive rights to your submission for six months following publication. Your piece will be archived and may be included in online and/or future retrospective editions. If you republish your work, please attribute first publication to Lost Lake Folk Opera magazine.
